Farewell, My Sister

I saw the waves, the line of water,
Nearing the shores, small in the distance,
Majestic in pose, sublime in stature,
That expanse of dusty cyan,
In the light of a brilliant afternoon sky,
And as the ocean beckons,
I find myself drawn into the narrative,
Steadfast and Sure,
Taking that step into the frontier,
Where light is forever shining,
A beacon in the darkest of nights.
